Dedication of New Keyboard
A Service of Dedication was held, on the 8 December, to dedicate the new Keyboard which was presented to the Choir by our President, Paul Porter, in memory of his late mother, Peggy Porter. The service was conducted by Revd Caroline R Downs, of St Michael and All Angels, Cathays, Cardiff, where Peggy Porter, or Dame Peggy as she was known by Revd Downs worshipped The service included, besides the Dedication, the hymns Cwm Rhondda and Gwahoddiad, and a short speech, by Paul, recollecting his Mother's life as a musician and organist at the Church.
Following on from the service the Revd Downs was presented with a picture of the original 'Tin Chapel' by Paul and flowers, on behalf of the Choir by Chairman, Gareth Davies.
