St Mary’s Catholic Church, Bridgend is again the venue for the Choir’s Annual Concert on Friday, 6th October 2006.

Fresh from winning the 2006 Fusiliers Cup at Swansea’s Welsh National Eisteddfod, a successful double after winning the same competition at Newport 2004, the Choir is continuing plans for progression.

The Charity - Cancer Research, Wales – celebrating its 40th Anniversary, was the winner when a large audience thronged the magnificent Llandaff Cathedral.

The Banquet Suite at Cardiff Bay’s 5 Star St David’s Hotel was the venue this week for a performance from this popular Choir.

In a series of Concerts organised by the Cardiff Branch of Leukaemia Research, Bridgend Male Choir was delighted to support this worthy cause at Bethany Baptist Church, Rhiwbina on Saturday last.

Bridgend Male Choir has returned from a hugely successful visit to Germany staying at Ludwigsburg.

Bridgend Male Choir holds its Carol Concert this year at the OCLP Club, Bryntirion, Bridgend on Thursday, 22nd December commencing at 7.30 pm.

November has been busy for the choir, with a recent performance for Diabetes UK in Cardiff generating a very warm response from the City of Cardiff's Lady Lord Mayor, as well as the Event's sponsors.

St Mary’s Catholic Church, Bridgend was the venue for the Choir’s Annual Concert where 73 choristers performed to a full audience.

The Bridgend Male Choir will be holding their 45th Annual Concert on Friday 7th October at 7.00pm in St Mary’s RC Church, Ewenny Road, Bridgend.

St Illtud’s Church, Llantwit Major was the venue for the Choir’s most recent Concert in support of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Playing to a full house at the OCLP Club in Bryntirion, the Bridgend Male Choir hosted a joint concert with the Orange Community Chorus from Southern California on Monday night.

On the day, the talents of the Bridgend Male Choir were not quite enough to get into the prize money positions at Llangollen’s International Eisteddfod.

Last year at the Moraira Music Festival I was approached by Mr. Trevor Veasey, the President of the Choir, with a view to arranging concerts for his choir to sing in our area.

The Bridgend Male Choir gave a Memorial Concert to its former Accompanist and Musical Director, the late Gwynfor Humphreys who passed away last year.

The Bridgend Male Choir has now returned from a very successful Tour of the Costa Blanca Region of Spain.

Having been successful in the Male Choir Final of S4C’s Cor Cymru Competition just 3 weeks ago, the Bridgend Male Choir were invited back to Aberystwyth to compete against stiff opposition.

On the evening of Wales’s rugby success versus England, Bridgend Male Choir went on to make it a notable double achieving “Best Male Choir” status in the final of the S4C Cor Cymru

Bridgend Male Choir, winners of the Welsh Fusiliers Cup at the last Welsh National Eisteddfod have further competitions planned where they hope to build upon their success.

Saturday, 11th December saw the Bridgend Male Choir complete its formal programme for 2004 with a Charity Concert at Swansea.

The Bridgend Male Choir will sing next on ‘home’ territory at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Ewenny Road, Bridgend for the Church Annual Concert on Friday, 3rd December commencing at 7pm.

Bridgend Male Choir have been on the road again, wowing the crowds in the Birmingham area this time; as guest artistes at the Annual Concert of the Redditch and District Welsh Society.
