One Concert, One Chapel, One Valley = One Charity £2,420
Cancer Research Wales and Bridgend Male Choir wish to extend a huge thank you to recent concert-goers and Chapel organisers at Tabernacle Chapel, Pontycymer for their very significant financial contribution to Wales’ leading cancer charity, at the bad weather postponed 50th Birthday Re-Enactment Concert.
Choir Chairman, Mansel Abraham commented, “What a fantastic result! To put it into significance, the sum raised from the generous residents of the Garw Valley is not far short of the sums generated by the Choir at St David’s Hall, Cardiff concerts for the same beneficiary. Both local school choirs and local trumpeter, Meirion Davies were marvellous, as was the skill, charm and enthusiasm of Huw Edwards on the night. Wouldn’t it be great to do it again”. Liz Andrews, spokesperson for the Charity added her appreciation and acknowledgement of “wonderful entertainment and a very grateful beneficiary”. Roll on 2011.
