WBO World Boxing Champion, Joe Calzaghe can count on the support of Bridgend's choristers
Bridgend Male Choir has been honoured with the opportunity to support World Boxing Champion, Joe Calzaghe when he meets Danish Champion, Mikkel Kessler. The Choir will lead the singing of the Welsh National Anthem ringside at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff after Joe enters the Ring.
An invitation to the Choir from Frank Warren’s Sports Network Organisation was readily accepted to support Wales’s greatest ever boxing champion. The fight sees Calzaghe putting his WBO title on the line, with Kessler putting up his WBC & WBA titles in what should be an absorbing super-middleweight bout.
The fight will be screened live to a World wide audience of millions of people on the Sky TV Network in the early hours of Sunday, 4th November.
