Another fine performance, tho' the title was not retained this time......
At S4C’s Male Voice Choir final at Aberystwyth, the boys from Bridgend could not repeat their success when the competition was last held in 2005. Some 16 choirs entered the competition, with Bridgend Male Choir reaching the last four finalists. Only the winning choir is announced in this Competition and the honour this time went to the worthy Cor Y Flint.
Bridgend’s Musical Director, John Jenkins was fulsome in his praise of the winning Choir and of his own boys from the ‘Bont from whom he said that he could not have asked anything more.
This competition is well known for its post contest camaraderie and a great sing-along took place at the Arts Centre before the choristers coach made its weary way home.
At Bridgend’s next concert at Bethlehem Church Life Centre, Cefn Cribwr they host the Voyager Concert Choir from Tucson, Arizona.
