After an enjoyable pre- International Rugby evening at Taffs Well Rugby Club, when the Choir entertained visitors from New Zealand, it now embarks on its Christmas programme.....

Choristers of Bridgend Male Choir are delighted to be supporting the following events during December:  

Dec  5th – 7 pm Friendship Concert for St Mary’s Catholic Church, Ewenny Road, Bridgend.  Also appearing is Ynysybwl Ladies Choir, under the baton of former Bridgend Male Choir accompanist, Rhiannon Williams-Hale, plus the choir of St Mary’s Junior School. Tickets available at the Church – Proceeds to St Mary’s Catholic Church.   

Dec 13th – 7 pm Christmas Tree Festival Concert at St Mary’s Nolton Church, Merthyrmawr  Road, Bridgend with several soloists, including 13 year old Jacob Lewis of Court Colman. Jacob was a finalist in the recent Bridgend’s Got Talent competition. He also played Oliver in the musical of the same name in Ysgol Gufin Llanharri’s recent production. Tickets available from the Church – Proceeds to Y Bont School, Ewenny Road, Bridgend.   

Dec 17th – Open air, New Light Christmas Festival celebrating Families & Christmas at Dunraven Place, Bridgend – also featuring drama groups, Christmas carols, lantern parade, 7 Primary schools, Mari Lwyd procession and live band – Free entry, entertainment commences at 4.30 pm, with Bridgend Male Choir featuring at 6.40 pm.   

In all three performances, Bridgend Male Choir will be conducted by its popular Musical Director, John Jenkins, supported by talented accompanist, Laura Smith. There will also be guest organist appearances in the Church events by Bridgend’s Scott Williams, who has performed with distinction with the Choir in the recent past.
