Despite real concerns about the Yellow Weather Warning at Chepstow Races, the sun actually shone when choristers entertained from the Parade Ring.
Under MD, Rhiannon Williams-Hale & Accompanist, Stephanie Bailey, the Choir sang some traditional and lively numbers to appreciative punters. Audience numbers grew throughout the performance with the stands & terraces quite full close to race time. More informal singing in the Premier Bar drew a huge following, by which time the heavens had opened outdoors.
Despite a tip for the winner in the Coral Welsh Grand National from MD, Rhiannon, most choristers did their own thing & lost, their horses probably still running!
Bridgend Male Choir’s next engagement is another sporting event, this time Six Nation’s Rugby. Choristers are delighted to be singing on the pitch, immediately prior to the Wales vs. France match on Friday evening, 26th February.
