The Choir’s Annual Luncheon, this year, was held at Court Coleman Manor Bridgend. This sell out event is always very popular and this year was no exception with one hundred and nine choristers and guests in attendance. Once guests had enjoyed a drink in the Garden room or Veranda they were called through to the ballroom where they sat down to a sumptuous Indian buffet. The after luncheon speech was delivered by Jason Mohammad who was inspirational, anecdotal, approachable and kept guests engaged and attentive. A lively auction followed and the generosity of bidders was well appreciated. The musical talents of singer/songwriter Bronwyn Lewis, who gained a role in the BAFTA award winning film Pride and appeared on the voice, captured the hearts of the audience with her beautiful voice and varied repertoire. Bronwyn kindly sang some of the choirs repertoire in both Welsh and English and delighted choristers who gladly joined in with her approval. After a successful raffle, of which the choir would like to say a huge thank you to all those who donated, the piano was rolled out in the foyer and a spontaneous Afterglow was enjoyed by choristers and guests which brought an enjoyable afternoon to a close.
