Press Officer, Tim O'Hagan advises details of a Celebrity event...
Bridgend Male Choir will have one of their most prestigious engagements of the year on 8th August at the Vale Resort Hotel, Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan.
That evening will be the culmination of Beefy's Welsh Walk, when Sir Ian Botham OBE, will celebrate the end of his three-day sponsored walk along the Wales Coastal Path in aid of the NSPCC Wales Appeal, which has a £3million target. The walk will see Sir Ian trek from Burry Port on August 6th to Cardiff Bay on August 8th. Among the celebrities pledging their support are Gareth Edwards & Catherine Zeta Jones, who hopes to be in Wales at the time, as well as Max Boyce, a Patron of the choir. The choir will provide pre-dinner entertainment at Beefy's Big Welsh Ball, which is bound to be a real slap-up occasion. We are looking forward immensely to supporting this worthy cause.
Throughout the remainder of the month, the choir will be singing at weddings in Bridgend, Cardiff and Weston-super-Mare. In the meantime, we will be continuing our preparation for our expedition to the Isle of Man to take part in the October Festival of Choirs competition.
