All Saints Church, Porthcawl on Saturday, 8th October is Bridgend Male Choir’s local engagement this month. It’s 7.00 pm Concert is in support of the Marie Curie Charity. It will be good value as the guests are old friends, Four Lanes Male Voice Choir, Cornwall, which is touring the area, plus the wonderful soprano voice of Maesteg’s Rhian Hughes. Tickets £8 available at the door pre-concert.
On the 26th, the Choir embarks on its annual tour, this time to Dublin, where it will support charity fund-raising. As well as a Thursday concert for the Dublin Lions at St. Stephen’s Church (aka Pepper Canister Church), it will join the renowned St Peter’s Male Choir for a Friday joint concert at the Church of the same name in Drogheda, before giving a Saturday lunchtime performance at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. It’s not all “work”, as the party will be visiting the Guinness Brewery and touring the Wicklow mountains and Bray.
