KEEP YOUR TICKETS SAFE FOR TABERNACLE CHAPEL, PONTYCYMER
One of the casualties of the freezing weather conditions was the Gala Concert scheduled for the Garw valley Chapel on Friday, 26th November organised by Bridgend Male Choir to celebrate its 50th Birthday at the venue where it held its first ever concert in 1960. This was necessary for safety reasons but contributed to great disappointment for all concerned, not least the sell-out congregation and concert beneficiary, Cancer Research Wales - but don't despair...............the Concert is still to go ahead.
Please keep your concert tickets safe as the Birthday celebration will take place early in the new year, just as soon as a date suitable to the Chapel and concert participants can be finalised. The new date will be extensively advertised in the press, local radio and posters as well as the streaming news feature on the Bridgend Male Choir website www.bridgendmalechoir.co.uk If however, a ticket refund is required, please contact Choir Secretary, Gareth Reese on T.07773 170373.
Hopefully, more favourable weather will greet the Choir's two remaining concerts in 2010. The first on Friday, 3rd December is the Annual Friendship Concert at St Mary's Catholic Church, Bridgend featuring the excellent ladies choir, Cantorion Pontyclun and the St Mary's School Choir. The latter is on Saturday, 11th December at the Christmas Tree Festival Concert to be held at St Mary's Nolton Church, Bridgend featuring soprano, Jennifer Walker and organist, Scott Williams. Tickets for both are available from the venues or from Choir Secretary, Gareth Reese on T.07773 170373.
