Choristers appreciate the skills of all its team and write:
Bridgend Male Choir is proud to be able to call on the organist services of Brackla’s Scott Williams, whenever a concert venue has a suitable instrument which can be used. The big sound in key sections of recitals adds significantly to audience enjoyment, supplementing piano accompanist skills. Scott first performed with the Choir in 2008 and it’s well known by his colleagues how he adapts his skills to master any organ. Some recent highlights include playing at Wells Cathedral and singing with the choristers at the Principality Stadium when Wales played France, just to show he can do that as well!. His playing also features on the Choir’s recent CD, # Sounds Like
Scott’s next turnout with the Bridgend choristers will be at its Annual Concert on 9th September at Tabernacl Welsh Congregational Church, Bridgend, his 9th consecutive Annual appearance since making his debut under the late John Jenkins. There are other appearances in the Autumn before Scott accompanies the Choir to Ireland in October to join in the music making at Dublin’s St Patrick’s Cathedral and St. Stephen’s Church as well as at St. Peter’s Church, Drogheda. It’s easy to see where Scott’s love of music originates, as his proud father Dennis is a stalwart of the tenor section at Bridgend Male Choir also.
