Musical Director, John Jenkins has again secured the services of one of Wales top talents....
Bridgend Male Choir is delighted to have secured the services of Swansea born soloist, Ros Evans for its 49th Annual Concert, to be held at 7.00pm on Friday, 25th September 2009 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Bridgend.
Ros from the Welsh National Opera is one of Wales’ brightest talents and will be featuring the music of Ivor Novello amongst her contribution. As well as regular appearances on television and radio, her recent contribution at the Edinburgh Arts Festival received high critical acclaim. Her current plans include another season of performances with the National Chamber Orchestra of Wales and later this year with the Spa Orchestra at Scarborough. Her many operatic, oratorio and concert roles are too numerous to mention in this column, as are the many top venues worldwide in which she has sung. The choristers of Bridgend Male Choir welcome the opportunity to perform along side her.
Having had a break from competition this year, the Choir has used the available time to add a number of new pieces to its expansive repertoire, which items will be sung at the Annual Concert. Led with purpose by its Musical Director, John Jenkins, he will be assisted by regular talented accompanists, Laura Smith on piano and Scott Williams on organ.
