Audience marvelled at Choir's performance
Bridgend Male Choir has added to its reputation, first made in Wells Cathedral two years ago when it appeared in St Cuthbert's, the largest parish church building in Somerset. The church is so big and with such a prominent position, in the heart of the city of Wells, visitors often think they have reached the Cathedral as they arrive through the medieval entrance porch. This then was the setting for the concert with its wonderful acoustics and the helpful staff. Â The audience in St. Cuthbert Church, in this sleepy Somerset city, listened in awe to the performance given. It was indeed inspiring not only to the listeners but also motivated the choir to a new pinnacle of sound. A concert performed and simply delivered. Â Â
The money raised, in this case well in excess of £1200, by such events enables St Margaret's Hospice, Taunton to pay for specialist care in its out patients units, respite care their Sunflower Day centres, a home visit by one of its specialist nurses, specialist counselling for a child who has lost a parent, and hours of telephone support from a nurse in the middle of the night.
