SUCCESSFUL FUND-RAISING LUNCHEON

Sunday 08 May 2011

After participating in a recent Wedding at Taibach, choristers looked forward to its next function - a fund-raising luncheon

A very successful fund-raising luncheon was held on Friday last by Bridgend Male Choir. The excellent meal provided at the Masonic Hall, Coychurch Road, Bridgend set everyone up for the humour which followed from guest speaker, Scrum 5’s Rick O’Shea. All associated with the Choir would like to send a big thank you to all the individuals and businesses, some very local and some from as far as Scotland and Liverpool which all showed huge generosity, especially appreciated in times of austerity. Choristers with most choirs make significant personal financial contributions to coaches & accommodation associated with their support of good causes and choirs provide their singers with stage dress. Such events as this luncheon go a long way to help.

The Choir next performs to raise funds for essential maintenance at a Gower Church. St Peter Church in Wales at Newton, Swansea welcomes its Bridgend friends for the third such visit this coming Saturday, 14th May. The Concert commences at 7.00 pm and tickets will be available at the Church prior to its start.”
