A Wedding and honoured presence at a local parade of the 1st Battallion Welsh Regiment preceded the CRW Concert
Choristers of the Bridgend Male Choir are again looking forward to supporting their adopted charity in its Annual Gala Concert on April 9th. In addition to hearing the Choir, concert-goers will also get to hear one of Wales' top sopranos who is currently starring with the Glyndebourne Opera, Helen-Jane Howells. Helen will be making one of several Cathedral appearances with Bridgend Male Choir, as part of its UK Cathedrals Tour during the Choir's 50th Birthday year. Also appearing is Scott Williams, who promises a real treat with his organ renditions, which have become a popular part of Choir concerts.
In recent weeks, the Choir has sung at its President, Paul Porter's second daughter's wedding in as many months. To their delight, Rebecca and her local rugby player husband, Nathan Strong were delighted to welcome the choristers to their reception at the Vale Hotel. Choristers in turn wish them every happiness.
Most poignantly, choristers were recently privileged and honoured to entertain the servicemen of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at Borough Mayor, Jeff Tyldesley's Civic reception. Proud supporters of our military, Bridgend Male Choir is committed this year to helping to raise funds for both the Army Benevolent Fund and the British Limbless Ex-Servicemen Association.
Before this, Cancer Research Wales is to benefit, with some £10 tickets still available for April 9th from both the News Shop in Dunraven Place & from Porters Estate Agents at Nolton Street, Bridgend. Â
