Wyndham Thomas

Sunday, 10 June 2018

It is our sad duty to inform you that, after a courageous battle, Wyndham Thomas passed away in the early hours of this morning. Our chairman, Gareth Davies, has passed on both his personal and the choir's condolences to Pauline.

A fine bottom bass who, through a long period of ill health, maintained a ready smile and a quiet dignity, Wyndham first joined us fourteen years ago after seeing us at an afterglow in Upton Bishop, near Ross on Wye. From that time, as many will know, he chose to attend our after afterglows whenever possible and then to join the choir. For a while he even moved with Pauline to Bridgend but they eventually returned to Ross on Wye from where he travelled to practices, hardly missing any, and displaying the same commitment to performing at our concerts. He was, in short, a fine example of total loyalty and dedication who, as Gareth puts it, " if we were a rugby club. he would surely have regularly been player of the year".
